I am a mechanical engineering student with a passion for mechatronics system engineering. Currently I am in final year of studying for bachelor’s degree in engineering at University of Moratuwa. I am dedicated to leveraging my academic knowledge and hands-on experience to contribute effectively in the field of engineering.

Throughout my academic journey, I have acquired a strong foundation in computer aided designing, mechatronic systems, robotics, automation, mechanical designing, artificial intelligence, computer programming, and I am adept at applying theoretical concepts to real-world engineering challenges. I was able to apply the theoretical concepts in these areas to several projects and also during my industrial training period.

I am seeking opportunities to apply my engineering knowledge and contribute to innovative projects. With a solid academic background, a passion for mechatronics system engineering, and a commitment to excellence, I am confident in my ability to make meaningful contributions to any engineering team.

Trainee Mechanical Engineer at VEGA INNOVATION

I worked as a Trainee Mechanical Engineer at VEGA INNOVATION during a six month of industrial training period. collaborating with the VEGA Battery R&D team I worked in several design and manufacturing projects. I gained lot of hands-on experience in computer-aided designing, computer-aided manufacturing. The projects I was involved in and the tasks I did and the experience gained under those projects are as follows:

    • CB750 Electric Conversion Project:
      • Bus bar design, Cell holder design, Design of high voltage system: CAD - SOLIDWORK.
      • Simulation of joule heat generation: FEA – COMSOL Multiphysics.
    • ETX Battery Pack Project:
      • Cell arrangement design, Cell holder design, 2D production drawings, Busbar design: CAD – SOLIDWORK.
      • Jig design and manufacturing, Laser welding: CAM, Laser welding technology.

Follow-Up Camera Slider
  • This is a mechatronics project.
  • Group Project.
  • We develpped an automated camera slider which autonoumusly follow a hand when the hand is writing on a white board.
  • My contibution:
    • Developed algorithms to recognize a hand, its gestures and track the hand.
    • Used machine learning models to recognize the hand and classify the gestures.
    • Trained the machine learning moddel using our data set.
    • Developed the electronic control system.
IoT Project
